Breastfeeding Friendly Guide

Breastfeeding Friendly Guide

BF_logoMum’s Diary is a big supporter of breastfeeding. Breast milk is the best form of nutrition for infants, and exclusive breastfeeding is recommended by health experts for the first six months (26 weeks) of an infant’s life. Thereafter, breastfeeding should continue for as long as the mother and baby wish, while gradually introducing the baby to a more varied diet.

We’re please to offer on this page a list of breastfeeding support groups, breastfeeding friendly venues, national breastfeeding helplines and some advice from the NHS on why breastfeeding is important.

If you have any other information or ideas that you’d like us to include on these pages, please do let us know by dropping us an email to info@mums-diary.co.uk
