Batman Versus Superman At The Helicopter Museum

Batman and Superman will be squaring off at The Helicopter Museum this May when the Aviation Museum hosts its Annual Charity Fund-raising Film and Comic Convention. As well as getting the opportunity to meet ‘The Caped Crusader’ and ‘The Man Of Steel’, visitors will be able to view Batman’s iconic ‘Tumbler’ Batmobile and Iron Man’s Suit Pods which will be on display in the aviation attraction’s main display hangar.

‘Red Dwarf’ and ‘Brittas Empire’ Star Chris Barrie will be appearing and chatting to visitors alongside ‘Star Wars’ and ‘Harry Potter’ Veteran Michael Henbury, Dr Who Companion Sarah Sutton and the screen writers of Dr Who and Wallace & Gromit.

As part of the days exciting itinerary, Andrew Lawden, (stunt double for Liam Neeson on Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace) will be instructing children in the use of Lightsabers in a special one-off Jedi training session and there will also be a very special Charity Prize Draw for the opportunity to ‘Fly with a Jedi’ over the skies of Weston-super-Mare.

Also during the day there will be a plethora of costumed characters on the prowl from Star Wars, Aliens, Dr Who and Star Trek, as well as the popular costume competitions, a comedy show, a Millennium Falcon flight simulator, helicopter experience flights, the ‘March Of The Cybermen’ event and the ever popular Droids and Daleks.
Full Scale Replica movie props from various cult films will also be on display alongside the helicopters in the museum collection, many of which have featured in Hollywood Movies themselves such as ‘Edge Of Tomorrow’, ‘A Hard Days Night’ and ‘The Damned’.

Stars Of Time takes place on the 7th May at the Helicopter Museum, Weston-super-Mare (Registered Charity Number 281053), home to the World’s largest collection of helicopters.
