Mum’s Diary is produced by Clare Kingsbury-Bell who has worked in the media industry for more than a decade and has a little boy, Jake, who fills every other waking moment (and a few of the not-quite-so-awake ones too).
Background
Clare is an experienced and highly qualified journalist. Over the past decade, Clare has worked in radio, newspaper, magazine and web journalism. For several years, Clare has worked locally as the news editor on the Weston & Somerset Mercury and most recently as the regional web editor for Archant South West, managing numerous newspaper websites.
Clare also runs media training workshops for a variety of organisations and offers a freelance PR and marketing service.
Through Mum’s Diary, Clare also offers an advert design and artworking service. Having links with local printing service Liberty Publications, Clare can offer cost effective packages of design and print services for business cards, leaflets and flyers.
Mum’s Diary
Since setting up Mum’s Diary at the end of maternity leave in June 2010, Clare has had a huge amount of positive feedback from readers, advertisers and local health and children’s professionals.
Mums are delighted to have this ‘much-needed’ resource and report ‘reading it from cover to cover’, using it to decide their diary and learning about their local community.
Mum’s Diary is the only magazine of its kind in the local area and directly reaches a niche audience. Advertisers report a good response with comments such as ‘the best value advertising I’ve done’.
