Reptile weekend at Puxton

Puxton Park is to stage a Reptacular weekend to allow visitors to meet some more unusual creatures.

The animal attraction in Hewish, near Weston-super-Mare, is home to many farmyard animals but for one weekend only Reptacular Reptiles will be on display.

Reptacular Reptiles are returning to Puxton Park from May 5-7, after the
great feedback received from their visits last summer.

Susie Johnson, Head of Park, said:  “Puxton Park is home to many animals, which you may not be surprised to see in the farmyard setting but for this Bank Holiday weekend we have something a little different.

“Come and see some animals that not only like to slither and crawl, but may give Mum and Dad a bit of a fright as well.

“Meet Casper the 12 foot long Burmese Python who will happily wrap around you for a big cuddle, lizards and spiders and if you’re really brave there is a chance to hold the animals.”

The fun continues later in the month with a Cowboys and Indians themed weekend on May 19 and 20, where youngsters can dress up for a discounted entry and take part in Indian hat making and wigwam construction.
